When Qian Wei woke up, Lu Xun was gone. Outside, she could still hear the patter of the rain, but it was much lighter than it had been the night before the thunder and lightning had stopped entirely. Qian Wei lifted up the quilt and found that she was naked and that her usually pale porcelain skin was covered with a dense range of blues and purples. She had always had sensitive skin and normally she would bruise from even the lightest of touches, but when she thought about the reasons for this particular set of bruises the blood rushed to Qian Wei’s face. Feeling embarrassed, she slowly straightened up and wanted to sit up when there was an awkward pang of pain from her lower body, a clear reminder of what happened last night.
“Qian Wei? Are you awake?”
Lu Xun seemed to have been quietly waiting for Qian Wei to wake up because, as soon as she started to move around, he lightly knocked on the door once before pushing it open and walking in.
In contrast to Qian Wei’s embarrassment, Lu Xun seemed refreshed and rejuvenated, to that point that his face even seemed to be a bit more handsome. Obviously, he hadn’t gotten much sleep the previous night either but, despite that, his skin seemed to be in an even better state than usual and his whole body seemed to be radiating light. Qian Wei unconsciously wondered if maybe Lu Xun was secretly a cultivator? The kind that stole yin to fortify yang? They had gone through mostly the same thing last night, so how could he look so excellent while, meanwhile, she was like the drug dregs at the bottom of the bowl – completely squeezed dry?!
Lu Xun saw Qian Wei’s snowy-white shoulders that were poking out of the quilt and averted his eyes awkwardly: “Let me get you something to wear.” He quickly walked out of the room after dropping those words.
The corner of Qian Wei’s mouth twitched. This man was such a hypocrite. He wanted to talk about manners and act like a gentleman now, but why hadn’t she seen any of that at all last night?
While so thinking, she idly shifted her posture and accidentally set off another twinge of pain from her lower body. Qian Wei grimaced uncomfortably and felt even more angry and embarrassed in her heart.
Soon, Lu Xun came back with the same white shirt.
As soon as she saw that white shirt again, Qian Wei’s anger raised to an even higher level. She turned her head away and said, “I don’t want to wear that.”
Lu Xun’s tone was a little awkward: “This is the only thing I have that will fit you.” He lowered his head. “Last night was my fault.”
Qian Wei blushed and looked away. She almost wanted to cover her ears with her hands. She really didn’t have the courage to think about what had happened last night.
However, Lu Xun brought it up regardless of her feelings: “Put it on, the temperature is still low these days, don’t catch a cold.” He paused before continuing. “Don’t worry, this time when I see you in this shirt I’ll properly control myself.”
It would have been fine if he hadn’t said that, but as soon as he did Qian Wei’s face flushed as she remembered last night’s ‘loss of control’.
“Does it still hurt?”
Qian Wei really wondered how this man had the face to ask her if it still hurt? Wasn’t he well aware of his own size?
Lu Xun took Qian Wei’s angry silence as shyness so he leaned down and kissed her on the forehead before comforting her in a warm voice: “They say that it always hurts the first time, but after that, it will be alright.”
What? He wanted even more?! Screw you, Lu Xun!
“Go ahead and change your clothes. I’ll wait for you outside.” With that, Lu Xun kissed Qian Wei again, stood up, and left.
Qian Wei secretly scolded Lu Xun a few more times in her heart before gritting her teeth and putting on the clothes while enduring the discomfort in her lower body.
She pushed the door open and went out. She glanced at the clock on the wall and found that it was nearly ten o’clock.
“I’ve already made breakfast. Have some.” As he spoke, Lu Xun turned back to walk into the kitchen before bringing out several dishes.
There was a bowl of rice porridge, some sweet potato pancakes, an omelet, a vegetable soup, and a cup of warm milk.
Qian Wei really was a little hungry by now. She idly rubbed her stomach and wanted to go and sit at the table but suddenly realized that she felt a bit like that little mermaid who became a human for that prince in the famous fairy tale. Each step felt like walking on the edge of a knife.
Lu Xun quickly realized Qian Wei’s state and, without saying a word, he walked over and picked her up, brought her to the table, and sat down while keeping her in his arms.
“Eat.”
Qian Wei was a bit hesitant… She remembered Lu Xun’s ‘black’ cuisine from yesterday, where every dish was either too sweet or too salty.
“There’s no problem with today’s food. I tried it ahead of time.” Lu Xun scooped up a spoonful of porridge and fed it to Qian Wei as he spoke.
Qian Wei opened her mouth subconsciously and took a bite.
To her surprise, Lu Xun wasn’t lying to her this time. The porridge instantly melted in her mouth, leaving behind a light and fresh taste. It was actually very delicious and seasoned just right. Qian Wei took the spoon from Lu Xun’s hand and ate a few more bites. Unexpectedly, it only became more and more delicious with each bite she took and, as she tasted the rest of the dishes, she found that each of them could probably be called perfect, or at least as good as the dishes made by those food bloggers online.
Qian Wei wondered out loud, “Did you buy all this from outside?”
Lu Xun was stunned by her question: “I made it all myself. Do you want to look at the kitchen?” I haven’t cleaned it up yet.”
“Then why did today’s dishes improve by such huge leaps and bounds? Yesterday’s were practically inedible.”
Lu Xun sounded a little embarrassed: “Because you were dressed the way you were I was a little absent-minded while cooking yesterday…”
“…”
“So it was all my fault last night?” Qian Wei spoke with an aggrieved tone. As she spoke she shifted a bit and felt another twinge of pain, which just made her angrier and angrier as she thought about it. Quickly she struggled to get down from Lu Xun’s lap. “I don’t want to sit with you anymore.”
However, not long after she started to struggle, Lu Xun’s breath became a little heavy and unstable, and he pressed Qian Wei down somewhat forcefully: “Don’t move.”
Qian Wei completely ignored him until suddenly she noticed something hard poking against her butt.
Lu Xun hugged her tightly and murmured: “Don’t move, I’m trying very hard to endure.”
How could Qian Wei dare to move now? She was still afraid after last night’s experience. Also, was Lu Xun even human? Even in games, no matter how powerful the character was, after they did a big move there would always be a cooling-off period for their skills, right? Was Lu Xun hacking?
Although she silently slandered him inside her heart, Qian Wei obediently settled down and the two of them finished their breakfast in peace. By the end, Lu Xun had finally calmed down and he let Qian Wei go with a slightly unnatural expression.
“I’d better keep away from you for now.”
Qian Wei, of course, was more than happy to hear him say that. She rapidly retreated nearly to the corner and accidentally bumped into the trash can that was there. Qian Wei subconsciously looked down at the trash can she had just bumped into and, as a result, her face turned bright red again.
There were several discarded condoms inside the trash can.
Last night had been so chaotic that Qian Wei hadn’t known at all how many condoms Lu Xun had used. She only vaguely remembered the scene of him taking one off and then putting on another had happened many times…
Seeing the wreckage in the trash can, Qian Wei finally realized just how fierce the battle from last night had been. However, it was then that she finally realized a problem.
“Lu Xun, you brought me to your house and even brought condoms with you?” Qian Wei bit her lip unhappily. “Do you still want to say you ‘couldn’t help it’ because of the way I was dressed?” Qian Wei pointed to the trash can. “You had been planning this for a long time, right?”
Lu Xun’s face turned red but his mouth quickly denied: “I didn’t plan it.” He turned around and said, “Back when I went to buy the salt, I paid with cash and they needed to give me change but the register I was checking out at had run out of change. I didn’t want to keep you waiting outside for too long, and I happened to see something on the side that had exactly the right price that I could buy it and there would be no need for change, so I casually bought it and it turned out to be condoms.”
“…” Qian Wei thought, as if I would believe that.
However, just as Qian Wei and Lu Xun were silently looking at each other with a bit of shyness and embarrassment, the sound of a key entering the lock suddenly came from the front door of the apartment.
Qian Wei was a little suspicious and a little frightened and she blurted out: “Who’s that?”
Lu Xun also seemed a little nervous all of a sudden, “It should be my mother. She’s the only one who has a spare key to my apartment.”
This was a big deal. Qian Wei was so scared she turned white as a sheet: “What should we do?”
She was already dressed like this, and there were dark blue and purple marks all over her neck and collarbone. Being in this kind of atmosphere with Lu Xun, it was obvious what was going on, so how could now be the time to meet his mother!?
“I… I have to hide right now.” Qian Wei’s fear instantly overwhelmed all of her reasoning ability and she quickly bolted into Lu Xun’s room and hid there before the door opened.
The next second, the front door was pushed open.
“Lu Xun?” Lu Xun’s mother was a bit surprised. “Why are you staying here today?”
This was the first time that Lu Xun had encountered this kind of situation and, although he tried to maintain his usual composure, he was still just a 19-year-old young man at the end of the day, so there was some poorly concealed tension in his tone as he replied: “Well, yesterday I remembered that I had left something in my room and I came to pick it up but then there was that huge downpour so I ended up staying the night here.”
Fortunately, Lu Xun’s mother didn’t seem to doubt his explanation: “I see. I also came over because of last night’s heavy rain. I was a bit worried that maybe all the windows weren’t closed properly and the rain had gotten in, so I especially came over to have a look.”
“The windows are fine, I was here anyway. Why didn’t you check with me before you came?”
When he mentioned this, Lu Xun’s mother immediately complained: “I called you more than a dozen times from last night until now but you didn’t answer any of my calls. I wouldn’t have made the trip if I had known you were here.” As she spoke, she didn’t let her hand stay idle and she began to clean up the house. “What happened to you last night? You never called me back even after such a long time, were you not feeling well?”
Lu Xun turned his head and replied in a forced casual tone. “I didn’t know you called me. My phone has been on mute since yesterday so I didn’t hear your calls. Thanks for reminding me to take it off mute, I’ll go ahead and change it right away.”
However, fate seemed to be playing tricks on Lu Xun because, as soon as those words claiming that his phone had been on mute from last night until now fell, his phone began to ring loudly.
“…”
Lu Xun’s mother folded her arms over her chest and looked at him critically.
“Mom…”
“Alright.” Lu Xun’s mother waved her hand. “I know you’ve grown up and your mother here will give you your own space. But next time call me back or else I’ll worry about you.”
Lu Xun breathed a sigh of relief: “I will.”
However, Lu Xun’s relief didn’t last long, and very soon he was on edge again because his mother had picked up the leftover dishes on the table and was about to go to the trash can with them. If she really went over to the trash can then she was bound to see the condoms still inside…
Awkward….🤣
Lol. Her thoughts on him being a cultivator or “hacking” were hilarious.
Wahahaha 🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😍😍😍
