“Has the young master already gone to school?” Su Tang got down from the carriage and then directed a question to Yu Caihe and Zhang Cuilan.
“Yes, he already left earlier in the morning. The young master has been mentioning the young miss a lot these past few days, he will be happy to know that you’re finally back.” Yu Caihe replied.
Understanding that her brother had been missing her, Su Tang could only nod with a faint smile, “Alright, well I’ll be heading over to the Song residence to see my master a little later, make some cakes and milk tea for me to bring along.”
“Understood, this maidservant will go to prepare everything now.” Yu Caihe immediately nodded and agreed then went into the courtyard to begin preparations.
Su Tang turned her eyes toward Jiang Hong’s family for a brief moment, and then asked “How is that old courtyard looking now?”
The old courtyard where Su Tang and her brother had used to live had been empty for a while now and was currently being used to raise seedlings. Zhang Cuilan quickly replied, “This maidservant goes over to the old courtyard to oversee things every day, and the seedlings have all been growing well. Also, people from Sujia Village have come to try to meet with you three times during the days you were gone.”
Hearing that people from Sujia Village had already come three times, Su Tang immediately realized that Su Yongqiang must be feeling worried despite the few times Su Tang had already reassured him. Su Tang didn’t mind it though, she knew that once it was a little warmer the Su family would be extremely busy and would have no time to worry anymore.
After all, according to Su Tang’s plan, the Su family would be raising seedlings to supply all of the farmland the Luo family had set aside for this project, so a lot of them would be required. As for the five farms she owned personally, she planned to use seedlings raised in her space.
But it was still a bit too early for the Su family to start growing the seedlings. Although the weather had been slowly warming up, the ground was still too cold. Su Tang estimated that Su Yongqiang was just too shocked by this sudden turn of good luck and was afraid that something might go wrong in the middle, which was why he kept trying to contact her so often.
“Understood. If they come again today, just have the girls tell them that I will be going over to Sujia Village myself in the next few days.” Su Tang told Zhang Cuilan so she could pass the message to the people working at the front of the shop, Pu Wei and Baohe.
By then Yu Caihe had already finished preparing the food. Su Tang took the food box and then passed it over to Zhang Cuilan. Then she took another glance at Jiang Hong and his family before turning back and asking, “You said you’ve been going over to that old courtyard every day, there should still be bedding and places to sleep over there, right?”
Zhang Cuilan nodded. “The bedding left by Master Luo before is all still there.”
“Good!” Su Tang nodded. Then she turned to Jiang Hong’s family and said, “All of you, come along and follow me as well.”
Meanwhile, as soon as Jiang Hong and Madam Zhang had heard Zhang Cuilan mention a certain name just now, their faces both changed. Master Luo? Was she referring to the same Master Luo that they knew?
Of course, since Su Tang had already bought this family, she had no intentions to hide anything from them. Or, at least, she intended to let them meet Luo Xingchen in person the next time she was around. Thus, when Zhang Cuilan mentioned Luo Xingxing in front of them, she didn’t bother to cut her off or say anything.
Jiang Hong and Madam Zhang were suddenly a little nervous. They were afraid that Su Tang might really have something to do with Second Young Master Luo, which would mean that they had delivered themselves to the mouth of a tiger. However, after thinking about it, they felt that the way Su Tang did things was completely different from the way that arrogant Second Young Master Luo did things, so they felt it was impossible for the two people to be connected.
Of course, Su Tang had no idea what the two were thinking, but since they didn’t say anything she didn’t either. She slowly led the three over to the old courtyard Luo Xingchen had rented before. Zhang Cuilan quickly went ahead and unlocked the gate to let everyone inside.
“Your family will all live here for the time being, there are rooms and bedding, but you will have to clean the place up a bit yourselves, also…” As they all entered the courtyard, Su Tang began explaining things to Jiang Hong and Madam Zhang.
The two didn’t dare to think too much about who “Master Luo” might be, so when they heard Su Tang start explaining things they quickly nodded and agreed. After Su Tang finished speaking, Jiang Hong spoke up and asked, “Young miss, I wonder what it is you want this small one and his family to do here?”
Jiang Hong had seen the place they had stopped before and surmised that it was Su Tang’s home. However, Su Tang hadn’t arranged for his family to work at her home but instead brought them here. From this, he guessed that Su Tang might have some separate task she wanted them to perform or some special reason for bringing them along. In fact, he had suspected this ever since Su Tang had especially singled them out and took their family away while leaving all the other farmers back on their farms.
Hearing this question, Su Tang opened her mouth and was just about to answer, but suddenly from outside she could hear the sound of horses hooves rapidly approaching. Her eyes narrowed. It was quite a coincidence for someone to be coming to this place so soon after she had arrived herself…
