As soon as this shout rang out, a figure rushed into the courtyard like the wind. Jiang Hong helplessly followed behind this new guest and winced as he listened to him directly calling the name of his young miss over and over again.
When Su Tang heard this her ears twitched and she immediately guessed who it was. After all, in this strange time and place, there was only one person who would directly call her by name like this. She looked up and, sure enough, it was Luo Xingchen who had walked in.
Pei Xuan was in the midst of speaking to his junior sister when he was suddenly interrupted by this shouting. He looked up at the gate to the courtyard and saw a devilishly handsome young man that was dressed all in red, with a jade belt tied around his waist, eyes that were black like dyed ink, and lips that were red like cherries.
Pei Xuan normally lived in the capital and could be said to have seen plenty of good-looking young men from wealthy and noble families, but after seeing Luo Xingxing he still couldn’t help but be taken aback for a moment and think: What a beautiful young man.
As it happened, Luo Xingchen had gone to Qinghe Town yesterday to look for Su Tang only to learn that she had already left to go around and look at potential locations for the new workshop. Of course, with no Su Tang around she felt staying in Qinghe Town was very boring, so she came out to find Su Tang.
In fact, Luo Xingchen had no idea where Su Tang had gone, she only knew that she had come out to look at various pieces of land that were for sale. In the end, she guessed that Su Tang would have to go to the brokerage office at some point so she just went there to wait. Coincidentally, she really managed to run into Jiang Hong while he was going to meet with one of the brokers. Thanks to that, she was able to follow Jiang Hong back to look for Su Tang.
Luo Xingchen didn’t like bringing around “her” people because they were cumbersome and not necessarily easy to use, so she had come out alone this time. Moreover, she just assumed that Su Tang was alone as well, so she presumptuously called out Su Tang’s name directly as she entered the courtyard.
But who could have known that as soon as she stepped inside she would see not only Su Tang, but also an unfamiliar young man standing in the courtyard? Luo Xingchen was a person who had swaggered through the marketplaces all over the north by relying on her face since she was a child, and she had met many good-looking people, but she was still stupefied when she saw Pei Xuan.
The young man had smooth, jade-like skin, sharp sword-like eyebrows, eyes that were deep like two black stars, and a tall and well-built frame. Although the clothes he was wearing obviously didn’t fit very well, his cold and noble temperament still shone through majestically, completely announcing his identity as a nobleman’s son.
Of course, Luo Xingchen had no idea who this nobleman’s son next to Su Tang was, so she quickly reined in her presumptuous tone and became serious. “Miss Su!”
Su Tang’s face changed like flipping the pages of a book. She rolled her eyes and said, “You really do have some ability. Even able to find me out here.” Her tone sounded a little disgusted.
Obviously, Luo Xingchen was able to hear Su Tang’s tone, so she sent her friend a pitiful look. She had just been bored and couldn’t wait to see Su Tang, which was why she came out to find her like this. But now that she found her, her TangTang was treating her like this? Luo Xingchen felt very aggrieved.
Su Tang saw her friend’s aggrieved expression and a smile slowly spread across her face, “When did you arrive?” She asked.
Luo Xingchen saw this smile and knew that Su Tang was also happy to see her, so she laughed loudly and said, “I arrived in Qinghe Town yesterday and came out looking for you early this morning.”
“Well, you’re just in time. I’ll be able to settle buying the deed in the afternoon, and you can come with me to have a look tomorrow.” Su Tang said. She truly felt that Luo Xingchen had arrived with perfect timing. After all, although she was supposed to be the one handling the workshop, it did belong to both of them at the end of the day. It would be good for Luo Xingchen to participate where she could.
“Sounds good!” Sure enough, Luo Xingchen simply agreed.
Pei Xuan saw Su Tang talking to Luo Xingchen while wearing a friendly smile and felt a little bit upset. Why was his junior sister so kind to an outsider? Compared to him, who she always tricked and shot arrows at, the difference was too big.
As they were talking, Luo Xingchen and Su Tang both approached one another. Watching these two getting closer and closer, Pei Xuan moved quickly and stepped in between them. Then he looked at Luo Xingchen and said: “Who are you?”
Luo Xingchen hadn’t been purposefully ignoring Pei Xuan’s existence, but when she saw Su Tang’s attitude toward him she guessed that this noble son should be one of Su Tang’s acquaintances, so she hadn’t said anything to him.
